Posture & Gait
The way we sit, stand and walk is something we repeat infinitely. Stacking the bones and moving with freedom are keys to pain-free longevity.
The embodied experience of standing in the way our bones and muscles were designed to offers a deep sense of connection and wholeness. I wish it for everyone! Sitting too much, using smart phones (too much), injuries, illnesses, and even our psychological patterns can adversely affect our posture and our gait -- how we walk and run. Little imbalances can be magnified over time and turn into painful dysfunction. Yoga practices are very good at giving us and outside-in experience to find the imbalances and correct them by moving through certain yoga posture. Yoga is also a great method for working from the inside-out, as we learn interoceptive skills.
